For years, Hulk and Linda Hogan looked like the definition of an inseparable celebrity couple.
Long before reality television cameras entered their home, Linda Claridge had been beside the wrestling superstar as Terry Bollea became Hulk Hogan, one of the most recognizable figures in professional wrestling. They married in 1983, welcomed daughter Brooke in 1988 and son Nick in 1990, and eventually turned their family life into entertainment on VH1’s Hogan Knows Best.
But behind the enormous house, family vacations and playful arguments shown on television, their marriage was deteriorating.
After roughly 24 years together, Linda filed for divorce in November 2007. Their divorce wasn’t finalized until July 2009, following nearly two years of bitter proceedings. ABC News
What happened afterward was even more unexpected.
The family America watched was falling apart
Hogan Knows Best premiered in 2005 and transformed the Hogans from a famous wrestling family into reality-TV personalities.
Hulk played the intimidating but protective father. Linda was his glamorous blonde wife. Brooke was pursuing music, while Nick was growing up surrounded by cameras.
The marriage, however, was under strain.

The identity of that man stunned people — including her own daughter.
Linda’s new boyfriend was just 19
In 2008, the 48-year-old Linda began dating Charley Hill.
He was 19.
Their nearly three-decade age difference was enough to attract tabloid attention on its own, but there was another connection that made the relationship considerably more controversial.
Charley knew Linda’s children.
Brooke revealed at the time that she and Charley had attended the same high school. He had been one grade below her and fell between Brooke and Nick in age. Wrestlezone
Brooke openly admitted she was uncomfortable with the situation.
She described herself as “totally freaked out” when discussing the relationship in 2008, while also saying that Linda was still her mother and she intended to support her. OK Magazine
The age difference wasn’t simply noticeable.
Charley was actually younger than Brooke.
What began as an unlikely romance became serious
Many observers assumed the relationship would disappear quickly.
It didn’t.
Linda and Charley remained together for approximately four years.
Linda defended the romance publicly, acknowledging that the age difference was unusual but saying she loved him. In 2009, she joked about the “cougar” attention surrounding their relationship while discussing her new life after Hulk. ABC News
Then the couple became engaged.
By 2010, Charley was 21 and Linda was 50. Hulk’s representative even publicly wished his former wife well after news of the engagement emerged. CBS News
For a time, Linda appeared convinced that she had found a completely new life after the collapse of her marriage.
But Brooke remained skeptical about whether two people separated by almost 30 years could ultimately want the same things.
She would eventually prove prescient.
Four years later, Linda and Charley were finished
In May 2012, Linda announced that she and Charley had ended their engagement.
They had appeared together on Couples Therapy, but afterward concluded that they needed to go in different directions. Inside Edition

She said she cried for two weeks and emphasized that the relationship had been genuine despite all the public jokes surrounding their age difference. Inside Edition
Brooke offered a straightforward explanation.

Meanwhile, Hulk had also moved on.
And the woman beside him looked remarkably different from Linda.
Hulk found Jennifer McDaniel
Hulk began dating Jennifer McDaniel around 2008, while his divorce from Linda was still unfolding.
Jennifer was a makeup artist and considerably younger than Hulk, although their age difference was nowhere near as extreme as Linda and Charley’s.
The relationship became serious quickly.

Visually, the contrast between Jennifer and Linda attracted plenty of attention.
Linda had spent years cultivating the flamboyant blonde aesthetic viewers knew from Hogan Knows Best. Jennifer generally appeared considerably more understated beside Hulk.
The two women represented very different chapters in his life.
But Jennifer and Hulk’s marriage wouldn’t last forever either.
His second marriage quietly ended
Hulk and Jennifer remained married for more than a decade.
Then, in 2022, after fans noticed another woman appearing on his social media, Hogan publicly confirmed that he and Jennifer had divorced.

Soon another woman entered his life.
Hulk began dating yoga instructor Sky Daily, a mother of three, in 2022. They became engaged the following year and married in September 2023. People.com
It was Hulk’s third marriage.
Sky remained his wife until his death in July 2025 at age 71. People.com
Linda never completely escaped the story of their marriage
The passage of time didn’t erase the emotions surrounding the original Hogan family.
Years after the divorce, Linda continued speaking publicly about Hulk and the collapse of their family. Their children also developed complicated relationships with their parents as adults.
It makes the old photographs from the Hogan Knows Best years feel surprisingly bittersweet.
There they are together: Hulk towering over everyone in his trademark bandana, Linda with her platinum-blonde hair, Brooke preparing for adulthood and Nick still a teenager.
Nobody looking at those carefully posed family pictures could have known how radically their lives were about to change.
From a 24-year marriage to completely separate lives
Hulk and Linda’s relationship lasted through his rise to wrestling superstardom, two children and the family’s transformation into reality-TV celebrities.
Then everything changed remarkably quickly.
Linda left a marriage that had defined much of her adult life and began an unexpected four-year relationship with a man nearly 30 years younger — someone her own children already knew from school. Inside Edition
